Chile
The Jordan Institute’s Internship and Living Abroad Program in Chile is a six week summer program that runs concurrently with the second summer session at Texas A&M. While abroad, participants will be placed in internships with a variety of companies and be able to immerse themselves in the Spanish language in their chosen work environment. As participants will be living and working in a Spanish-speaking environment, they are expected to be competent in the language before applying.
During their stay in Chile, participants will attend a group excursion; in the past, participants have traveled to Easter Island. Chile is a beautiful and diverse country that offers much to see and experience, so everyone is highly encouraged to make the most of their weekends abroad and plan their own side trips.
As part of the Jordan Institute’s mission of cultural education, all participants will be placed with host families to promote total cultural immersion. In the past, those who made an effort to develop a strong relationship with their hosts have been those who got the most out of our program.
