The Internship and Living Abroad Program (ILAP) in London, England, is L.T. Jordan’s oldest internship opportunity and runs for six weeks during the first summer session at Texas A&M University. Set in the bustling capital of the United Kingdom, London is a global city rich in history, diversity, and innovation. From ancient Roman roots to iconic landmarks like Big Ben and the Tower of London, London offers students a vibrant backdrop for personal, academic, and professional growth.
ILAP England is designed to place students in internships aligned with their academic studies and career aspirations. Students may work in a wide range of professional settings, including businesses, non-profits, government offices, or cultural institutions—gaining real-world experience in one of the most dynamic cities in the world.
Participants live with host families throughout the program, offering them the chance to build meaningful connections and experience daily life in British culture firsthand.
A highlight of the program includes an exciting excursion to Yorkshire, where students can explore the scenic countryside and learn more about England's rich regional heritage.
