The MSC L.T. Jordan Student Committee plays a pivotal role in promoting global awareness and cultural exchange at Texas A&M University through a variety of dynamic programs. Our efforts are divided into three main areas: International Education Outreach (IEO), On-Campus Programs, and support for the Institute’s International Programs.
International Education Outreach (IEO) connects Aggie students with local K-12 schools to provide educational programming that fosters international awareness and appreciation for diverse cultures among younger students. Through interactive presentations and activities, IEO empowers students to think globally and understand the importance of international perspectives.
On-Campus Programs bring global experiences directly to Texas A&M. These initiatives include cultural events, speaker series, and workshops that engage the university community in meaningful discussions about global issues, cultural diversity, and international relations. Our on-campus efforts aim to create a space where students can broaden their horizons and engage with the world, right here in College Station.
In addition to these programs, the committee actively supports the Institute on its International Programs, which offer students the opportunity to travel abroad, engage in immersive cultural experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of the global landscape. Through these programs, we help foster the development of global leaders equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
Together, these programs reflect the committee’s commitment to cultivating global awareness, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and empowering students to become informed and engaged global citizens.
