The MSC L.T. Jordan Institute is turning 30 this year! We hope to have a fantastic celebration commemorating all of the hard work and dedication that students have put into the Institute for the past thirty years and to look brightly towards an even better future.
MSC L.T. Jordan and MSC OPAS are proud to present Conspirare: Considering Matthew Shepard. At Rudder Theatre this January 29th and 30th, 7:30 pm, composed and conducted by Craig Hella Johnson. The performance is inspired by the legacy of Matthew Shepard and will feature a post discussion panel about the music and the LGBTQ experience at Texas A&M University. The MSC L.T. Jordan Institute for International Awareness, in partnership with MSC OPAS, Muslim Student Association, and International Student Association, is proud to announce their newest program to hit the BCS area- Made in America: an International Experience. The program will feature comedy sets by popular comedians Azhar Usman and Hasan Minhaj.
Usman, returning to Texas A&M after performing on the campus back in 2016, has done comedy tours around the United States in the past, collaborated with comedian Dave Chappelle and performed at comedy festivals, including “Allah Made Me Funny.” Minhaj, a Senior Correspondent for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, and star of the Netflix Special “Homecoming King” which highlights stories from Minhaj’s life as a first generation Indian-American Muslim, will be headlining the show.
Following the sets, both comedians will participate in a Q&A session, and interact with the audience.
The program will take place on March 27th at 7pm in Rudder Auditorium, but tickets are on sale now, and are available at the MSC Box Office, or online at boxoffice.tamu.edu. Make sure to get your tickets early, to ensure best available seats!
Come join MSC L.T. Jordan to learn how you can promote healthy bee populations locally and how those changes impact the world with College Station’s very own Prime Bee Farm.
